We are proud to present the Women in Games at SPACE: GAMES ARE ART exhibition, powered by Raw Fury!

We believe that games are art. We see games as potential carriers of great art like any other creative medium. Art allows us to escape, to seek meaning, and to give a universal voice to our inner thoughts. On top of interpreting our collective past and present, art carries our hopes, dreams, fears, and wishes for a better future.

The idea behind the ART initiative, is to present the best game artwork by a female, femme-identifying, and nonbinary artist, either done for a game or inspired by a game, selected by a jury, in an ART exhibition during the Women in Games SPACE event in Stockholm Sweden, on September 23, 2023.

The Exhibition

During the event WIG SPACE, there will be a dedicated art corner presenting 10 finalists/artists.

The art will be printed on 50x70cm canvases and added on easels. Each artwork will be displayed with an art card including the artist name, art title, potential art portfolio and a QR code leading to an online auction site. The online auction site will be open for anyone to bid on their favourite artwork and during the evening of the event, September 23, the auction will close and all proceedings will be donated to the WIG organisation for supporting women in the gaming industry.
